i'm making a movie called "Billie & Wren" in July. My friend Michaeline is playing "Billie" one of the title characters. Michaeline is usually cast as "the hot chick" or "the sexy co-ed". she was recently featured as the 185th girl Ugly Betty's new boyfriend has slept with (wait.have i mentioned that before? i think i have). my producers are nervous about her taking on a meatier role in my up-coming flick. i have faith in her. once you get to know her a little, Michaeline, underneath all of the hotness, is really just one of the guys (she doesn't have a dick or anything but she's just rad and funny and easy to yak on about without there being a weird sexual tension thing or an awkward guy-girl thing when we hang out). she's a great gal and i'm real excited about this next project for both of us. i have a lot riding on this next one, there's a few heaps of pressure to deliver this. it's my thesis and it's also going to be watched carefully by people who may or may not be significant to the future of my career. i'm shitting bricks. my usual writing partner/friend referred to the current draft of my script as a "family drama". weird, right? But before I get to the next directing thing. I have to get passed a brief stint back in Los Angeles where I intend to work, play, and fix, then after I return from there, I have to get through FOUR other thesis projects I've agreed to direct photography on. it'll all be a great big challenge but I know at the end of this it'll all be worth it. cheers to brighter futures and the light at the end of the tunnels. hope everyone else out there is doing alright. i'm feeling pretty good lately. we just finished my newest little short "Gideon's Song". I wanna share it with everyone but I can't until we decide what we're really going to do with it (movies can't qualify for some festivals if they're posted online). anyway, happy wolverine day!
